In this opening sequence to Genetics of Infectious Disease,
our intrepid host, John Hockenberry, is sick with a cold, and he has a
dream he actually meets a microbe. The microbe, disguised as a spokesperson
for "The People for the Ethical Treatment of Microbes" tries
to make the case that microbes have been with us from the beginning, and
we can't really live without them. But can we live with the most dangerous
pathogens?
